About the Program

Transforming India Initiative Reimagine Farmer Enterprises is a 12-month program focused on experiential learning and a hands-on approach to bring about a positive change in the life of farmers. Fellows will be placed in Farmer Enterprises where they will be guided by our experienced team of mentors and facilitators.

Program Design

Assimilation

Fellows are placed in Farmer enterprises where they learn and get familiar with the functioning of the enterprise and understand the challenges faced by the enterprise as well as the farmers.

  • Accelerate the enterprise.

Acceleration

Fellows move to the next phase. Based on the understanding developed during the first phase, fellows will design and implement business plans for the farmer enterprise in order to mitigate the challenges they have identified and accelerate the enterprise.

  • Quality control systems.
  • Sustain the enterprise.

Sustenance

Fellows move to the final phase of the program. They have to ensure the sustainability of the farmer enterprise as well as the business plan that they have implemented by appointing relevant and sufficient systems in place.

The fees for the entire program is INR 75,000*

A minimum scholarship of 60% will be offered to all candidates.

The actual fees payable by the fellow for the program is INR 30,000*

Farmer Enterprises are companies that are collectively owned by the farmers with the purpose to provide better services and a higher profit margin to the farmers. These companies do trading and marketing of Agri input as well as commodities grown by the farmers.

They also provide new technologies and skills to the farmers by acting as a facilitator and conducting training programs for them.

Reimagine Farmer Enterprises is a one-year fellowship program that will give you the opportunity to contribute to the lives of the farmers as well as learn business management and leadership skills.

The program is for young individuals who want to achieve big things in life and make a key difference in the lives of the farmers.

As a fellow, you will work with the farmer enterprise to manage it efficiently and effectively and increase its business to realize higher profits and more income for the farmers. In a nutshell, you will work on all the aspects of business development and management and learn how to manage an enterprise.

Fellows will be placed in Farmer Enterprises within their state.

?

TII RFE fellowship program realizes the importance of practical and experiential learning and focuses completely on that to provide the candidates with on-ground experience and learning opportunities.

College graduates from any field having some knowledge/experience of agriculture/business are welcome to apply for the fellowship. The candidate must have their own laptop and must be comfortable in working on it. English proficiency is mandatory. The candidate must be from one of the following states:

Every month, the fellow receives Rs.15000 as a stipend and a deferred payment of Rs.5000 is accumulated and after the successful completion of the fellowship, Rs.60,000 is provided as Social Innovation Capital.

Yes, ALC has tie-ups with many Agri-Entrepreneurial Companies. We have achieved a 68% placement rate in Agri Intrapreneur Program. So, there is a fair chance of getting placement after the Fellowship.
